Guide to Trick-or-Treating in and Around Collin County

It’s time to break out the goodie bags – Halloween is almost here! We hope this guide to trick or treating in and around Collin County makes your day twice as sweet.

Trick or Treat spots are ordered by date and are clickable, taking you directly to individual websites where you can find out all the specifics.

September 15 – October 31

Fright Fest :: Six Flags Over Texas, 2201 East Road to Six Flags Street, Arlington 76011. From 12:00 – 11:00 p.m.. Cost: Daily admission starts at $45.

October 14

Halloween at the Heard :: Heard Natural Science Museum, McKinney. From 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Experience the joy of trick-or-treating at the Heard. Get tickets early; this one always sells out! Cost: $15 per adult; $10 per child (ages three – 12); two years and under are free.

October 21

Trick-or-Treat Trail :: Towne Lake Park, McKinney. From 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. Safe, friendly, and free Halloween fun for all ages. Local businesses and organizations will line the trail along Towne Lake to hand out candy and treats. Free parking at McKinney High School.

October 26

Boo on Ballard :: Historic Downtown Wylie, Ballard Avenue. From 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The downtown streets are transformed into a Halloween wonderland featuring trick-or-treating, live music, and carnival games. Kids can walk through downtown and receive candy and treats from local merchants. Free event.

October 28

A Heritage Halloween :: Frisco Heritage Village and Museum. From 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Bring your little sprites for an afternoon of free, family-friendly Halloween fun. All ages are welcome. Activities include ghost stories, arts and crafts, Halloween scavenger hunt, and more. Costumes encouraged!

Beware of the Square :: Historic Downtown Square, Celina. From 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. Come in costume for some free Halloween-themed fun for the whole family. Trick-or-treating, free kids’ zone, rides, haunted attractions, escape room, and more.

Trick-or-Treat the Square :: Frisco Square. From 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Enjoy carnival games, inflatables, horse wagon rides, spooky treats, and more for the whole family to enjoy! Free event.
