If you have older children, you can still benefit from the quality, affordable care and thoughtful programming Lionheart provides.

First, a little context: Lionheart Children’s Academy is a non-profit Christian organization with convenient locations in Collin County and around the metroplex. There’s likely one near you! Browse its programs below to see just how Lionheart can help support you and your children.

Infants (six weeks to 12 months)

Lionheart believes a strong foundation helps set the tone for a lifetime of learning. The focus of the infant program is to ensure babies feel safe and supported so they’re empowered to explore and discover the world around them. A comprehensive, research-based curriculum is designed to enrich even the youngest learners.

And because you know your child best, teachers partner with you to learn everything they can about your little one. You’ll love the results: individual daily routines tailored specifically to your child and a development plan you feel good about.

Toddlers & Twos (one to two years)

This stage is about discovery, exploration, building self-esteem, and gaining independence. Lionheart’s learning goals cover physical, cognitive, social and emotional, language, and spiritual development. Teachers utilize an innovative curriculum specially designed to encompass key developmental indicators and early learning guidelines.

As with all of Lionheart’s early childhood programs, you can communicate with teachers and view your child’s activity through the Daily Connect app. There’s also an individual electronic portfolio to show your child’s progress. This is a great way to stay in-the-know and help you reinforce learning at home.

Education is most effective when kids are interested, engaged, supported, and encouraged. Lionheart fully embraces this philosophy and employs a research-based curriculum to get your child ready for school (and ready for life!).

Developmentally appropriate activities and STEAM-centered learning through play gives kids a head start and helps establish that crucial life-long love of learning. Preschool and pre-k are offered full-time or part-time to best suit your needs.

Do you have an older child? Lionheart can serve you, too!

Before & After School Care (k to 12 years)

The Trailblazers program is a response to the challenge working parents face in finding ways to keep kids safe and engaged outside of elementary school hours.

A state-of-the-art Lionheart minibus safely transports your child to and/or from school. Mornings involve breakfast and quiet activities. After school, there’s snack and homework time plus activities ranging from physical games to crafts (depending on your child’s interests). It’s childcare you can feel good about.

Make a note: Whenever there’s a school break, Trailblazers is there for you. Think of it as a mini camp to help you with childcare when there’s a school district holiday. There’s also a Trailblazers Summer Club with field trips, themes, enrichment activities, and more.
