Parish Episcopal School: A Diverse, Multi-Faith, Inclusive Community

This post is sponsored by Parish Episcopal School, but the opinions expressed here are 100% my own.

We moms have one overriding goal for our children. We want to raise happy, healthy, well-rounded humans. Our kids spend most of their waking hours with people we entrust to guide, mentor, teach, and inspire. Therefore, for the care of our children, we must choose wisely.

As Parish Episcopal School enters its 50th year, this is absolutely the educational experience you want for your kids.

Trust me when I say, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more well-rounded institution. Parish models the core characteristics of our global community. Moreover, Parish is proud of its educational team and tools which promote an exceptional academic and developmental impact on our kids.

Parish Episcopal Develops Creative Learners & Bold Leaders

With the recognition of a complex global society, Parish aims to help young people become creative learners and bold leaders.

The Parish model changes how students learn and succeed as they strike a balance between a challenging core curriculum and programming that stimulates young learners. Along with a high-quality college preparatory learning environment, the School helps students discover their true selves while feeling they genuinely belong.

We want this for our kids!

parish episcopalGuiding principles that make Parish a unique educational experience is the leadership’s commitment to honoring individuality. Students use their voices and express their choice in learning. In addition, teachers help students develop healthy habits that help them grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

The Parish climate is one in which students are encouraged to create authentic, meaningful work.

Diversity & Inclusion

There are many factors to consider when choosing the most optimal learning situation. Consequently, Parish Episcopal is a refreshing, inspiring choice.

Parish believes in fostering an inclusive community that mimics our evolving global culture, including varied ideas, abilities, interests, family structures, religious traditions, political affiliations, and genders. Understandably, Parish maintains it is those qualities that facilitate social, spiritual, and intellectual growth.

Leading with Wisdom, Honor, & Service

Learning is not burdensome and pressure filled. Instead, the School discovers where children thrive and flourish from Pre-K through 12th grade. As a result, Parish boasts small classes, two campuses, robust athletic programs, art programs, STEM courses, and a leadership institute that fosters their overriding core values of wisdom, honor, and service.

Moms, there isn’t a single thing Parish Episcopal School does not have to foster an autonomous, growth mindset. We want this for our kids. They need this to thrive!

Jennifer Slingerland Ryan
Jennifer Slingerland Ryan knows a thing or two about kids and families. First, she knows they are joyous, exhilarating, loving and so darn fun. Second, she knows they suck your life dry and make you weep like a baby. By day she’s a psychotherapist; by night she’s a mom and wife. She claims to love therapizing couples, educating parents, reading dystopian fiction and sleeping in her free time (read: she never sleeps). Jennifer is a mom of twins, two 15 year olds. Her youngest is...a joy. Let's just stop there. Most days you can find her in her office seeing clients, doing laundry, loading or unloading the dishwasher, or catching up on the latest episode of Real Housewives of (Insert City Here), Walking Dead or This Is Us. She is a tree-hugging country girl from West Texas who reads, writes, and teaches about human development and families as a hobby and profession.
