Favorite Wine Bars for Date Night in Collin County

Whether you are a wine enthusiast or a novice, visiting a wine bar can make for a fun date night. I’ve rounded up a list of some of my favorite wine bars for date night in Collin County. These places are great for girls/mom night out or your next night out with your honey.

Sixty Vines, Plano

Sixty Vines has a selection of wines on tap, it’s the first time I’ve ever seen a restaurant with wine on tap. This is a great way to explore different wines. There is a full dinner menu as well as a cheese board option. I like that there are lots of seating options, from the covered patio and traditional seating to high-top tables.Favorite wine bars for date night

Cru, Plano

For a swanky, quaint wine experience, check out Cru. Cru has an array of wine flights to choose from. I really enjoyed the white wine flight. Along with tapas-style plates, they offer full entrees. The servers are very helpful and make great suggestions. Check out Pizza Mondays (buy a bottle of wine and get a free pizza) or Champagne Thursdays (all champagne is half-off!).

Landon Winery, Downtown McKinney & Wylie

I really like visiting Landon’s because you can create your own wine tasting by selecting three to five tastings of any of the wines on their menu. They even offer wine slushies, which are fruity and fun on a hot night, especially if you aren’t a big wine drinker. Landon’s has charcuterie boards and light bites to snack on while you sip. They also allow you to order food from any of the surrounding restaurants.

Zen Zin Wine Bistro, McKinney

Zen Zin resembles a cute European city, with stone buildings and cobblestone paths. There is a small patio and a variation of living room style seating and high top tables inside. There’s usually live music. Grab a wine flight (I really enjoyed the sparkling wine flight), a glass of sangria, or a cocktail. I recommend ordering a few of the shared appetizers.Favorite wine bars for date night

Eight 11 Place, Frisco

Eight 11 Place is tucked away in historic downtown Frisco. There is indoor seating, but all the action is on the sprawling patio, which feels like you’re hanging out in the backyard at a good friend’s house. The wine list includes lots of Texas wines. Be sure to order the s’more board for dessert. You roast the marshmallows in a fire pit at your table. So fun! There is also live music on the weekend.
