Ready to bask in the twinkling glow of the holidays? We’ve rounded up all the best places to see holiday lights in Collin County and beyond — from popular neighborhood displays to major holiday light spectaculars (of which there are now quite a few!).
While what we listed below are drive-thru or major light displays, don’t forget that lots of places deck the halls this time of year. Enjoy twinkling lights at Riders Field, Heritage Farmstead Museum, and any historic town square. (Historic Downtown McKinney is particularly picturesque.)

The Light Park
Head to Riders Field for this drive-through holiday light spectacular. Tickets from $39 per vehicle.
November 9 – January 5
Holiday at the Arboretum
The 12 Days of Christmas outdoor exhibit comes alive after dark with more than a million lights illuminating the garden, trimming the architecture of the historic homes, and lighting the canopies overhead. Times and admission prices vary by date.

With 500,000+ holiday lights including icicle-style tree lights, a festive lawn, and an 18-foot Christmas tree, this is a holiday hotspot you won’t want to miss. Free!

Dallas Zoo Lights
At night, the zoo becomes illuminated with more than a million twinkling lights. Ticket prices vary by date (premium and non-premium nights).

Christmas in the Square
Drive through the light tunnel, or get out of the car and enjoy all the other jolly activities the Frisco Square has to offer. Free!
November 18 – January 1
Addison brings back its annual light extravaganza, transforming Vitruvian Park into a colorful wonderland. You can also opt to view the lights by car. Free!
November 23 – January 7
Gift of Lights
Texas Motor Speedway
Another mega drive-thru light trail, more than two miles long and made up of millions of lights. Tickets from $35 per car.
November 23 – December 31
Janet’s Christmas Wonderland
Head to 1000 Clinton Drive in Plano from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. each night for a magnificent Christmas light display, featuring 85,000 lights synchronized to music, elves, and reindeer. Special appearance by Santa on December 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Drive through a new-and-improved light tunnel and see displays of four MILLION lights. At the halfway point, you can get out of the car to enjoy the Holiday Village with carnival rides, concessions, photos with Santa, a magical walk-through forest, and more! Tickets from $50 per car.
November 24 – December 30
Lights on the Farm
Heritage Farmstead Museum
Heritage Farmstead Museum in Plano will once again be bedazzled with more than a million twinkling holiday lights and filled with animated yuletide displays. Tickets from $7.
December 1 – 30
This Plano neighborhood fully embraces an over-the-top Christmas aesthetic. Located in Northwest Plano between Preston and Coit. Check the link for tips on how to best navigate this residential neighborhood, including where to enter. Free!
December 2 – January 7
The Colony Christmas Spectacular
This light installation is choreographed to music, so tune your radio to 99.9 FM. Lights are on nightly. Free!
