I am a native Texan, born and raised, and there are some things that are quintessential to Texas: BBQ, crazy weather, and Buc-ee’s. My first memories of Buc-ee’s was as a child traveling down to Houston and experiencing the biggest gas station I had ever seen.
Buc-ee’s is its own world when it comes to travel centers, with gas stations and convenience stores. Buc-ee’s built the largest convenience store in the world at over 68,000 square feet, and was voted the best restrooms in America by Cintas. With over 40 locations in Texas, Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana, there are many more to come. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a loyal Buc-ee’s fan, it’s a must stop on any road trip.
My Buc-ee’s Favorites
Coffee and soda stations– Buc-ee’s has a huge variety of sodas and hot fresh coffees available around the clock.
Snacks– Every good road trip needs snacks, and Buc-ee’s doesn’t disappoint. There are huge walls of chips, nuts, candies, and so many other yummy snacks available throughout the store.
Hot food– The first thing I smell when I walk into a Buc-ee’s is yummy food. Buc-ee’s has a large selection of ready-to-go grub such as breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and Texas BBQ. Come hungry if you’re headed to Buc-ee’s.
Beaver Nuggets– Yes, beaver nuggets gets their own recognition. This trademark snack from Buc-ee’s is yumminess in a bag. There are so many varieties of this snack, but I like the original (tastes like corn pops!)
Bucky– Buc-ee’s trademark mascot is Bucky the Beaver. The store has shirts, cups, and other knick knacks with Bucky all over them. Grab a shirt and wear Bucky with pride!
