FREE Movie Tickets + More Deals at Moviehouse & Eatery {a.k.a. Your Favorite Theater}

This post is sponsored by Moviehouse & Eatery. All opinions are 100% our own.

Everyone has been singing the praises of Moviehouse & Eatery lately. And per our recent readers’ choice poll, their McKinney branch is your favorite movie theater in Collin County. As far as modern dine-in theaters go, this place is doing it right. They even have a cheese and charcuterie board on the menu. That’s literally all I’ve ever wanted.

But we’re not really here to talk about their food today (although they do have a scratch kitchen, kids’ menu, seasonal menu, brunch… you name it). Today we’re talkin’ DEALS. In the past, I haven’t necessarily planned my moviegoing around a theater’s discount specials. But after seeing all the ways to save here, it’s clearly worth a little pre-planning. Your wallet will thank you, too.

So! Let me give you a quick rundown of all the ways to save at Moviehouse & Eatery in McKinney.

Moviehouse & EateryBEST DEAL FIRST:

Through the end of August, you can still take advantage of their Summer Kids Camp every Tuesday morning. They hand out FREE movie tickets on a first-come, first-served basis at 9am (movies start at 10am). We Bought a Zoo, How To Train Your Dragon, and The Wizard of Oz are the final August movie selections. How fun would it be to introduce the kids to The Wizard of Oz on the big screen!?

And here are the other deals I think we can make the most of (if you check out the menu, you’ll find even more weekly food & drink specials).

MOMMY MONDAYS: Lower-volume movies, a little brighter auditorium, and $6 tickets before 2pm—kids of all ages welcome! Children over 2 require tickets and a seat, FYI.

P.S. Half-priced wine by the glass on Mondays, too. I’ve heard Incredibles 2  pairs very well with a glass of rosé. Or save that cheap booze for a girls’ night; I just saw The Spy Who Dumped Me with a bunch of ladies and we were giggling the whole time.Moviehouse & Eatery

EVERY TUESDAY: Half-priced candy and snacks. That includes bottomless popcorn, y’all.

WELL-SEASONED WEDNESDAYS: Grandparents (well, all guests ages 65+) get in for $6 at any movie before 6pm. Get Pop Pop to take the kids to a show; he’ll love those recliner seats.

HAPPY HOUR DISCOUNTS: Monday through Wednesday before 6pm and after 9pm AND Sunday 9pm to close, you get half-off select starters and $2 off wine by the glass. Some of the select apps are for sure kid-approved, by the way.

And don’t forget that every day you get matinee ticket prices on all movies before 12noon. There’s some good stuff here, am I right? Hope to see ya there—cheese boards all around!
