Feel Safe & Confident with CareNow Urgent Care

As parents, we have to face the inevitable. At some point during this pandemic, our kids (or ourselves) will get sick, and more than likely, it will come at an inconvenient time like after hours, on the weekend, or 20 minutes after the last Friday appointment. True story.

Urgent Care doesn’t stop just because of a pandemic and the LAST PLACE you want to end up in is a hospital which is why my family has come to trust CareNow Urgent Care. From common infections like Hand Foot Mouth and pink eye to accidents resulting in sprains, scrapes, and lacerations, CareNow clinics are open seven days a week and stay open late to provide care when you need it the most.

During this unprecedented time, CareNow understands the importance (more than ever) parents place on feeling safe, secure, and confident while entrusting a medical facility to take care of our families.

To bring comfort and ease, CareNow has now implemented the following protocol at all of their CareNow Urgent Care clinics:

LIMITED PATIENT COMPANIONS

To keep numbers down, each patient is limited to one essential companion (unless absolutely necessary).

CLEANING & SANITIZING

All exam rooms, waiting rooms, and patient areas are being thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). They’ve also removed high-touch items like magazines, toys, and refreshments for the time being.

PATIENT SCREENING

All patients and visitors are screened for COVID-19 symptoms and risk factors upon or before arrival to the clinic. If the screen is positive, they will provide a mask for you to wear (if an ordinance isn’t already in effect to do so).

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Each clinic will enforce 6′ of social distancing; including spaced out seating in the waiting areas and separate entrances.

MASKS

CareNow follows universal masking guidance, which means all staff, patients, and companions will wear a mask, regardless of symptom or exposure, to ensure safety for all.

WEB & CAR CHECK-IN

To limit patient interaction, CareNow allows you to make your appointment online with Web Check-In®. When you arrive, call from your car and the staff member will give you further instructions. *Some clinics are seeing longer wait times due to COVID-19, so you’ll want to take full advantage of booking online!

With over 40 locations across DFW, you can visit their website to find a CareNow location near you and learn more about the services, immunizations, and testing they offer.

Krystal Hurst
Krystal is a Dallas-native who began her career as a fourth grade teacher in Richardson RISD, but quickly changed paths to became a stay-at-home mom in 2011. Through a happy coincidence, she stumbled upon (what was then known as) Dallas Moms Blog in 2012 and found a community she’d been looking for since coming a mom. Shortly after joining the team, she gratefully accepted the “baton” passed to her as new owner of the site, and took off with it running full speed! Krystal not only helped to grow Dallas Moms into a large parenting resource, but also launched Collin County Moms in 2016; providing those in the north Dallas suburbs their community resource platform. While building a community, uniting the moms, and growing a business around this passion was a dream come true, after almost 10 years, Krystal officially stepped down as owner, and is now focusing on raising her 4 boys with her husband, Tim, and rediscovering old hobbies.
