VIDEO: Fun Home DIY Projects for a Fresh Start!

I love to incorporate home DIY projects into my life. I love to be creative in new ways and mix it up, and I am excited to share my very own personal creations in a video I have paired with this blog! In the video, I go to great lengths to illustrate my favorite home DIY projects, and I hope it can inspire you, too.

My Top Home DIY Projects

DIY Photo Collages

I update our entryway throughout the year with different-sized frames and swap photos with family photo shoots that have a related style to them, and then mix it up with fun, everyday photos. It’s therapeutic in a way; I feel refreshed every time I do this! I mostly do it seasonally or when I am deep cleaning the house. Try it! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Mix Frames! Don’t let the photo collage stop there: Mix frames! Finding similar frame styles; multiple stores can help you achieve this. I find most of my frames from Home Goods, Target, and Walmart. Grab some that have texture! This gives a very easy remodeled feel to your home.

DIY Hot Chocolate Stand

I wrote this blog recapping my son’s Hot Chocolate stand. He learned SO much about running a mini business. Life lessons AND deliciousness!

DIY Treasure Hunts, Trivia Hunts, & Scavenger Hunts

There are unlimited ways to achieve a “hunt”. I bring out a scavenger hunt around the holidays, birthdays, and the most unexpected times. It’s something I grew up with and have enjoyed reliving the excitement through my son. I even brought back a hunt that was treasure-hunt-themed recently for my dad for Father’s Day. It was meaningful for my brother, Dad, and me to literally walk down memory lane as he followed the treasure map leading to similar clues he hid when we were kids. He had no idea this was coming! It was very special and I know those are memories he will cherish.

DIY Wedding Ideas

Whether you are getting married or in a wedding, DIY wedding projects can create memories to last a lifetime! I recently got married and pulled off a TON of DIY’s along the way from centerpieces to my invites, where I was able to apply my own personal touches.

DIY Graphic Art. Canva.com is a website I use personally and professionally. I make social media artwork, birthday invitations, my wedding timeline, YouTube thumbnails, etc. Easy, quick, and FREE!

Board and Brush Plano. Attending a DIY workshop was a total blast. One of my friends invited me for a girls night out AND IT WAS AMAZING!

Last but not least, and maybe the most FUN is…

DIY YouTube Channel

YouTube is free and a great place to share with the world. Wow, I learn so much from YouTubers every day. I planned my wedding through YouTube wedding planners and brides reliving their experience. I LOVE mom YouTubers who share their struggles and life’s journey. Some of the items I use when I film are: my iPhone, iMovie editing software, Movo Lavalier Mic (I bought mine on Amazon. You may need to buy an attachment to connect to your iPhone for best sound), a cellphone tripod (tons of these on Amazon), and that’s it!
