Three Free Workouts You Can Do From Home

As we all know, life and routines are not normal right now and may not return to the normal we are used to for a long time. Many of our routines have been derailed over the last several months. For me, one of those routines was my workout schedule. Over the last few years, working out has become something I love to do. Not only is it good for my body physically, it has been great for me mentally and emotionally. Even now that gyms have begun to open up, my routine is still not the same. Childcare is no longer offered or is limited, which changes which classes I am able to attend.

Technology has truly been an MVP over the last six months and it is no different for the world of health and fitness. There are so many options available online and via social media. I rounded up a few of my favorite workouts, so if you find yourself needing to try some workouts from home, you have some great options!

Free Workouts You Can Do From Home

High Fitness

This is one of my favorite workouts! I love the energy, music, and variety of movements. Think aerobics with a modern twist. Of course, my favorite way to participate in this class is in person, but right now I can’t always make it due to lack of childcare. But the founders of the program have made it so that throughout the week there are several free livestream classes provided. Pull it up on your phone, TV, or any device, turn up the volume and get ready for a fun and sweaty workout! If you have flexibility and don’t need childcare, there are several High Fitness instructors in the area that I love. You can find them searching on Instagram or the High Fitness website.

Kristin Andrus

This lady is so fun to follow on Instagram. She is a mom of six kids who is passionate about exercise. She has a Youtube channel with over 200 workouts available for free! You can scroll through all the workouts to find one that fits what you are looking for on a particular day. There are short 15-minute workouts or longer hour-long workouts. Many of the workouts use no additional equipment or just a pair of hand weights. She shows her real life, too, with her kids often running in and out of the frame. Her Instagram account is an uplifting place full of fitness, good food, and service!

Clean Simple Eats

I love following Clean Simple Eats on Instagram and have loved trying their products in real life. They are a husband and wife team who love health and fitness. They have some awesome meal plans and recipe books, as well as supplements that I have enjoyed incorporating into my daily routine. You can find several free workouts on their Instagram TV. You can follow along live with them or find the workouts later on in their saved videos. Their workouts are usually about an hour long, but you can always choose how long you want to go! I love how they mix it up with cardio, strength, HIIT, and other varieties of workouts. I’ve found with their program you can either follow it exactly with them or mix it up to meet your own needs.

Even though our normal routines may still be out of the ordinary, technology, talent, and passion can still help us incorporate what we’re used to, like exercise, into our everyday life.

How do you like to incorporate exercise into your daily life?

Amanda Stewart
Amanda moved to the Dallas area as a child, moved away for college, but then returned “home” with her husband and new daughter. Now five years later, she and her family are putting down roots in Collin County. Her educational background is an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a graduate degree in Early Childhood Studies. Most days you can find her doing her best to put her knowledge to work with 3 of the sweetest students around- born in 2010, 2014 and 2015. Once bedtime hits, you can find her doing some instructional design work, blogging, or finding the next great series on Netflix, usually with a cookie in hand. You can read more about her collection of thoughts on everything from motherhood and parenting to DIY and fitness, and whatever else is on her mind at her new blog <a href "http://www.thiscollectivelife.com/" This Collective Life .
