Father’s Day Gift Ideas + the “BRO-quet”

When it comes to gift giving, my husband is AMAZING. He comes through with the big-ticket items (like my Cricut that I’m obsessed with) AND the grand gestures (like a movie I had talked about loving growing up but couldn’t find anywhere. He found, bought, and had it shipped…FROM ENGLAND!). A decade together and he never ceases to amaze me.

However, this puts a TON of pressure on me. How am I supposed to live up to that? My strong suit is the smaller gifts: Easter baskets, Christmas stockings, etc. On Valentine’s Day, I decided to put together a gift basket of some of his favorite things, and he loved it!

So, with Father’s Day coming up (rather quickly I might add), I thought I would share with you some Father’s Day gift ideas to put together your own “Bro-quet” of things for your special man to remind him how much he’s loved.

Start the day off with a good breakfast treat and pun.

  • We donut know what we would do without you!
  • Thanks for pudding up with us!
  • Muffin compares to having you for a dad!
  • We love you a waffle lot!
  • We’re bananas about Daddy!
  • There is no butter dad than you!

BRO-quet Father’s Day Gift Ideas

For the griller:

Apron, tongs, spatula, marinades, and seasonings. Penzey’s Spices has a great grill seasoning set.

The necessities he won’t buy for himself but wants/needs:

New wallet, socks, underwear, new toothbrush, cellphone case or protective screen.

For the movie buff:

Latest release, an oldie he loves but doesn’t own, popcorn and bowl, his favorite candy or snack, T-shirt with his favorite movie characters.

For the sports fanatic:

Gear for his favorite team, equipment for at-home play, tickets to a game, personalized jersey with your last name/number of kids.

For the office:

Picture frame with latest family photo, daily desk calendar with fun trivia or comics, Zen garden or another desk prop.

Fillers to finish the Bro-quet (and get some more dad-approved puns in):

  • You light up our life (matches, lighter, flashlight).
  • We’re lucky to have you (lottery tickets, deck of cards, dice).
  • Our future looks sharp with you as our dad (sharpie pen/markers, pocket knife).
  • You are an uh-mason dad (jar filled with goodies, mason jar style cup with lid and straw)
  • Hugs and fishes for you, Dad (fishing line, lures and gummy worms, Swedish fish)
  • Dad, you’re stuck with us (duct tape, super glue)

And, a few easy Father’s Day gift ideas he’s sure to love:

  • A membership to MeUndies. These are crazy-fun and crazy-comfortable underwear. The membership sends you a pair at a discount once a month. You get to pick the color or style, and they usually have an awesome “style of the month” available to members. My husband and I both have their products and LOVE them.
  • A Man Crate. Basically, these are like a Birchbox subscription, for men. They literally come in a crate and you can pick one that best suits your man’s personality.
  • Subscription to Dollar Shave Club. It’s like a barber shop in a box. Get him one of the starter kits and then he can customize his shipments for future orders.

  1. Super post!! Love the pun round-up. Are you seriously gonna leave us hanging about what movie it was that he had shipped from England??? haha, I’m dying to know what it was!

    • Thank you for reading and liking my post!! The movie was “Holiday Affair” starring David James Elliot. It was a TV movie that my grandma had recorded on a VHS long ago and one of my favorite Christmas movies! 🙂
