EASY Lunch Idea :: 4 Mini Hawaiian Bread Sandwiches (VIDEO)

If you are on the go, need to whip up a quick lunch in between virtual learning sessions, or can’t wait for dinner, you’re in luck! I am excited to share with you my favorite foodie solution, an easy lunch idea, that NEVER grows old in my home…

Mini Hawaiian Bread Sandwiches

The possibilities, oh the possibilities!

I make these often.

My 10-year-old has literally grown up with mini Hawaiian bread sandwiches since he was a toddler. I have found they are the perfect finger food and I assure you, these NEVER get old. I love to pack these along on walks to the park or stick a few on our rides to the grocery store. I have found it’s best to do grocery shopping when you are not on an empty stomach, otherwise I am known to buy WAY more than needed just because this mama gets hangry quick!

Our house is the biggest fan of Hawaiian bread and we typically get a double pack at Costco. You can pick up Hawaiian bread packs at most grocery stores in the bread aisle next to the hamburger and hotdog buns. Another small sandwich solution is dinner rolls.

Easy for Mom and encourage your kids to make their very own!

The variety of mini sandwiches you can make with these are limitless and I am thrilled to share with you our kitchen creations. My son, Caleb, LOVES to make his own creations. Lately, he has been OBSESSED with grated Parmesan and if you watch the little video clip below, you will see the excitement on his face making his very own personalized sandwich using grated Parmesan!

I’ll note here, “sandwich making” was my first lesson to Caleb back when he was in Kindergarten, and I was excited to teach Caleb how to make a mini meal. He loved stacking the ingredients and was instantly excited trying his creations as a little chef in the kitchen with me. Making sandwiches was a much easier way to introduce “cooking” vs. baking cookies! Less patience was required, and he could grasp the sandwich concept much quicker in our early cooking days together. Now at age 10, he easily makes his own creations and I LOVE to indulge!
