Materials:

  • White coffee filters
  • Washable markers
  • Card stock or construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions:

  1. Color coffee filters in sections with washable markers, filling the entire filter with color.
  2. Gently wet the coffee filters to make the colors run together in a tie-dye fashion (we used a squirt bottle of water). Don’t over saturate them with water, though.
  3. Allow filters to air dry, or blow dry in less than two minutes.
  4. Fold filters in half, then in half again (repeat two more times for smaller hearts). Cut out half a heart along the paper fold.
  5. Adhere tie-dye hearts to card stock or construction paper to make your own valentines.

May your Valentine’s Day be filled with love, fun, easy crafts, and chocolate!
