It can be hard trying to find the time and energy to work out without the added burden of figuring out childcare. Whether you’re newly postpartum or a seasoned parent, we all need to take time for our mental and physical health. Our kids need to see us taking care of ourselves. Our healthy habits will help build their healthy habits. Fortunately, Collin County has an abundance of fitness studios that offer childcare while you exercise. 

These places will get your heart pumping while entertaining your kids in the same building. Your kids may benefit from their activity time as much as you. Gyms with Supervised Childcare

Club 4 Fitness :: McKinney, Murphy, Plano :: Month to Month memberships offered at this affordable gym complete with state of the art equipment, fitness classes, a turf area, sauna, and more. Kids club available for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years which includes various seasonal activities, arts & crafts and computer learning. 

Cowboys Fit :: Plano :: Aside from the luxurious space and group classes, what sets this gym apart is their recovery lounge which includes cryotherapy, compression, and hydromassage therapy. Childcare is offered in their Rowdy Room at only their Plano location, see website for hours. 

Fitness Connection :: Allen :: In addition to the usual gym amenities, Fitness Connection offers a women’s workout area, racquetball and basketball courts, a Fit Flix Theater, and a sauna. Their Kids Club is for children ages 3 to11 years and includes a mini movie theater, tablet stations and a homework/craft table. 

LA Fitness :: Frisco, Prosper :: While there are other locations, these are the only two that currently offer Kids Klub services. Children can run and play safely while being monitored by staff.  

Lifetime Fitness :: Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano :: This upscale athletic facility is a splurge for good reason. Complete with top-notch amenities, studio classes, and even a spa! Childcare is provided for up to 2.5 hours and offered for ages three months to 11 years. The kids’ play area has a separate infant area, and members love their parent night out events. 

Plano Athletic Club :: Plano :: Enjoy all the benefits of a gym, including group exercise classes and a sauna, while you’re kids are entertained in their Kids Club. Ages 6 months to 12 years welcomed. The Kids Club caters to every age with toys, crafts, movies, video games and a children’s basketball area. 

Terrell Recreation Center :: Allen :: Newly built, this spacious center has recreational and fitness activities for all ages. The supervised playroom offers engaging care for children ages 3 months to 9 years, for up to 2 hours of care. 

Texas Family Fitness :: Frisco, Little Elm, McKinney, Plano :: Studios are well equipped with cardio machines, free weights, group classes and Kids Club. Kids will have a blast at their indoor jungle gym and select locations have a kids movie theatre. 6 months to 12 years of age are welcome but please note there is not a dedicated infant room or set ratios. 

YMCA :: Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Richardson :: Family memberships include free child watch for ages 6 weeks to 10 years, although ages vary per location.  Enjoy 2 hours of childcare, as well as occasional parent night outs.  Group exercise classes included and special pricing available for children programs.

Boutique Fitness Studios with Childcare

Barre3 :: Frisco, Richardson :: Known for low impact workouts that combine strength, cardio, and mindfulness. All fitness levels welcome and modifications are always provided by instructor. Childcare in their Play Lounge is reserved online. Buy individual or group passes. Membership also includes virtual classes so you can work out even when you’re out of town. 

The Barre Code (Now Barre3) :: Plano ::

 Choose from Barre, Bootcamp, Strength Training, or Brawl. They are in the process of transitioning to Barre3. While they don’t have in-house childcare, there is an Adventure Kids right next door. Drop them off and walk over to class! *Adventure Kids has several gym partners, so if you have a fitness place you love that doesn’t have childcare, this may be a good option! Receive a 10% discount on a two-hour time block for any gym partner listed on their website.

Burn Boot Camp :: Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Prosper, Richardson :: These adrenaline-pumping classes are 45- minute workouts which incorporate strength training and cardio. You’ll never be bored as it is their mission to never do the same workout twice. Membership includes nutrition resources, focus meetings with a certified trainer, and complimentary childwatch for children ages 8 weeks to 12 years old.

Neon Strength & Cycling :: Plano :: This upbeat studio is a true vibe. Come for indoor cycling and HIIT strength training classes, along with a smoothie bar. Drop your child off at their Neon Kids room after reserving online. Child watch services start at $8/60 min, with discount pricing if buying multiple class passes. Available for children ages 6 months to 12 years. 

Stroller Boot Camps

Fit4Mom :: McKinney/Allen/Frisco, West Plano, Prosper /Celina/Aubrey/ Little Elm :: These group workouts are designed to engage your kids in their stroller so you can keep them with you while you move. Need to stop to change a dirty diaper? No problem. Membership includes play groups, mom’s night out, and various events. Some of their classes include Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, Strides 360, and Fit4Baby (if you’re expecting). 

Momleta Baby Boot Camp :: Frisco, Little Elm, Plano :: Another great option for working out with your little ones. Load them up in the stroller and you’re set! Momleta prioritizes fitness, nutrition, and community. This total-body workout helps moms get fit while enjoying quality time with their kids.

Bridget grew up in the DFW area and is a proud TCU Horned Frog alum. After moving from Fort Worth to Dallas, she and her husband settled in Plano in 2013. She is an oncology registered nurse but has temporarily hung up her stethoscope for the glamorous life of being a personal chauffeur, chef, and maid to her two tiny bosses, Elizabeth (5) and Henry (1).
