Collin County Moms Blog Goes Live with Watters Creek: An Event Recap

To make this event happen, Collin County Moms Blog partnered with a variety of local businesses. All opinions are 100% our own!

collin_county_logo_stacked_blackOn October 17, Collin County Moms Blog launched as the 9th sister site in the City Moms Blog Network. Our site is written and run BY local moms, FOR local moms. Our team of local contributing writers (and moms) are sure to give you something you can relate to, connect with, and learn from.

In addition to providing online content, Collin County Moms Blog is also excited to bring you local events for moms and families. So to kick off our big online launch, we wanted be surrounded by friends and local moms! With the help of Watters Creek in Allen, we hosted a Launch Party with 75 women for a night of shopping, food, and giveaways!

To begin the night, Mi Cocina opened their doors and invited moms to grab some margaritas and enjoy complimentary appetizers for all our guests. The staff was so generous and helpful; continually restocking the quesadillas, street tacos, chips and salsa. mi-cocina-1

While we sipped, munched, and chatted, our friends with Dr. Bradley Hubbard stopped by to welcome us “to the neighborhood” and shared some of their newest services for moms. Several attendees also won some complimentary fillers courtesy of Dr. Hubbard.

The Shopping

From Mi Cocina, moms went out to enjoy an hour of casual shopping at stores like White House Black Market, Vera Bradley, Sublime Chocolate Bar, Pure Barre and Oil & Vinegar

These stores provided complimentary samples, a place to relax, and enjoy some exclusive discounts. In addition, we have to send a huge thank you to Kendra Scott and Anthropologie for providing some of our great giveaways. As well as local organizations like Dallas Sidekicks, LipSense, National Videogame Museum, and Fit4Mom Allen/McKinney

If moms prefered to put the shopping bags down, Blo Blow Dry Bar stayed open late for attendees to stop in and receive a complimentary braid. Our friends at Massage Heights set up a complimentary massage chair for those who needed a way to relieve a little tension — and then were able to walk away with a complimentary 30 minute massage to use for later!
