Let Mi Dia From Scratch Bring the Party to You!

Collin County Moms has partnered with Mi Dia From Scratch. All opinions are 100% our own!

One of my favorite North Texas Tex-Mex restaurants is bringing their delicious fusion flavors to YOUR HOME!

This past week, our Collin County Moms team was invited to come out and try Mi Dia From Scratch’s new catering program, and my head is already spinning with ways to use their menu for upcoming events. Whether you’re planning a party for 10 people or 100, Mi Dia has a wide selection of options to help make your event a little easier.

Pickup Service for Parties

Springtime is approaching, and it’s my favorite time to plan outdoor meals on the patio—but I want to host a party, not spend the whole time in a kitchen cooking it.

Mi Dia now provides you with the option of picking up and bringing home appetizers, entrees, and desserts for get-togethers. You can call the catering team, place your order, and Mi Dia will have your items packaged for pickup at any one of their convenient locations.

You can save some dishes and leave them in their containers to serve OR plate it up to match a theme. Either way, you’ll save yourself a messy kitchen, stress over perfect timing, and actually be present and relaxed when guests arrive.

Need a few suggestions on what to order? Here’s what I recommend:

:: APPETIZER ::
Shrimp Brochette
Wood-grilled shrimp stuffed with pepperjack cheese and chipotle, wrapped
with applewood bacon

:: ENTREE ::
Wood-Grilled Fajitas
Beef, chicken, combo, or vegetarian fajitas served with carmelized
onions, guajillo rice, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, cheese,
and flour tortillas.

:: DESSERT ::
Sopapillas with Honey

Set Up & Go Service

Want Mi Dia to do a little more than just have it ready to pick up? Let their catering team do the setup for you and provide everything needed for a ready-to-serve meal. Clean up is made simple with disposable chafing dishes, serving utensils, and heating fuel. Disposable plates, plasticware, and napkins are also provided. **Minimum food order of $250.

This catering service is ideal for team lunches, group meetings, or even large holiday parties! Give this menu a try for your next gathering:

Krystal Hurst
Krystal is a Dallas-native who began her career as a fourth grade teacher in Richardson RISD, but quickly changed paths to became a stay-at-home mom in 2011. Through a happy coincidence, she stumbled upon (what was then known as) Dallas Moms Blog in 2012 and found a community she’d been looking for since coming a mom. Shortly after joining the team, she gratefully accepted the “baton” passed to her as new owner of the site, and took off with it running full speed! Krystal not only helped to grow Dallas Moms into a large parenting resource, but also launched Collin County Moms in 2016; providing those in the north Dallas suburbs their community resource platform. While building a community, uniting the moms, and growing a business around this passion was a dream come true, after almost 10 years, Krystal officially stepped down as owner, and is now focusing on raising her 4 boys with her husband, Tim, and rediscovering old hobbies.
