Scarborough Renaissance Festival
Through May 27
Head to Waxahachie on Saturdays and Sundays this spring and step back in time. This Ren Faire is family friendly, with games, rides, and shows for everyone. Tons of information and a schedule at the link. Festival hours are 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Tickets start at $14.

Frisco StrEATS
The longest-running food truck festival in Texas features gourmet food from the best food trucks in the metroplex, live musical acts, shopping, craft beer and wine gardens, and countless children’s activities. Bring chairs and blankets for a picnic if you’d like. Event hours are 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Free!
May the 4th Be with You
Downtown Carrollton annual space-themed movie screening features crafts, a 360-degree photo booth, mobile gaming trailer, laser tag, and more. Come dressed as your favorite galactic character for a chance to win a prize in the costume contest. This free event takes place 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Plano AsiaFest 2024
Head to Haggard Park to celebrate the rich cultures of Asia with demonstrations, performances, and vendors from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Kids can enjoy art activities, view and try out various musical instruments, and visit the Children’s Corner. Free!

Allen Arts Festival
A weekend of family fun at Watters Creek Village with juried artists — local and regional — showcasing original art in different media categories. It will also have live music, children’s art activities, and all that festival stuff. See link for specifics, including event hours by day. Free!

Arts Festival in Heritage Park
This annual Flower Mound festival returns with live performances, art vendors, a community mural, hands-on activities for all ages, and much more. Bring your chairs and blankets and stay all day! 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Free!
Cajun Fest
Celina’s most popular event will be held in Historic Downtown Square. Feast on one of the largest crawfish boils in Texas and enjoy live alligator shows, live music, local vendors, and a large kid’s zone with inflatables and carnival rides. Spring Family Fun Series: Mother’s Day Caricatures
Fairview Town Center’s spring series means a different activity or performance each week. Shows last about an hour and are geared toward ages three through 10. See link for details. 10:00 a.m. Free!
Water Safety Fair
This family event is held at Jack Carter Pool in Plano. Activities will help participants prepare for fun and safe aquatic outings. The fun takes place 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Plano Aquatic Center.
