The weather in North Texas is usually one of two extremes, three-digit heatwaves or snowmageddon. However, we get about six weeks of really nice weather that we must take advantage of. During the Spring, early Summer, and Fall, I enjoy dining on a cool rooftop patio, sipping a margarita (this is Texas after all) and taking in picturesque views that can only be enjoyed from up high, hopefully with misters, fans, and plenty of water nearby.
Here is a list of some of the best rooftop patios in Collin County.

Legacy Hall, Plano
Choose from one of the many food options on the ground floor, grab a drink from the upstairs bar, and sit on the patio overlooking the courtyard at Legacy Hall. There’s often a band playing on the weekends.
Urban Crust, Plano
Come for the pizza, stay for the rooftop vibes, and visit the ice bar for a unique experience.
Urban Rio Cantina, Plano
The sister location of Urban Crust also boasts a nice rooftop. This place has great food the whole family can enjoy.
City Works, Frisco
This patio overlooks The Star in Frisco. There is also an impressive list of beers to choose from while you watch a game.
Haywire, Plano
The second-floor box garden terrace highlights views from the Legacy Hall Box Garden; the third-floor patio features a rooftop Airstream, deck, and lounge. Elevated comfort food is their specialty. You must try the elk tacos!
Lava Cantina, The Colony
Enjoy a live concert while you dine and overlook the stage. This spot is great if you enjoy live music while sipping drinks and enjoying the views.
Kai, Plano
There is a variety of seating throughout the restaurant, from bar tops to cozy nooks, but all the fun is happening on the second-floor patio.
Omni Hotel, Frisco
Sip drinks poolside and enjoy the views of The Star. This place is cool for date night or hanging with friends.
