4 Everyday Baby Products {at Walmart} That Give Back

This post has been sponsored by All Good Diapers. All opinions are 100% my own!

Forty days ago, our family closed its doors to the outside world and began quarantine, and then Shelter-In-Place. While we’ve become closer as a family and rediscovered the smaller moments that matter, we’ve also felt a deep feeling of isolation. Celebrating birthdays and milestones alone. Waving to friends on walks, but longing for those days on the playground. Catching glimpses into family members’ lives through social media, but missing those meals and memories together.

There are days where I want so desperately to be on the frontlines with those doctors, nurses, and scientists helping to find a cure so that the world (and my family) can go back to what we knew as normal.

But for now, we’re taking it one day at a time, and instead of wishing we could be making a difference, we are finding small (affordable) ways to encourage and support businesses and organizations that can make a difference for many families across the country.

If I’m going to be stuck at home, I want to be thoughtful in ways my new daily routine can make an impact (even a small one) in the world around me. This spring, I discovered 4 everyday baby products that put their good names towards a good cause. But the best part is they’re affordable and easy to find on the shelves and online at your local Wal-mart.

All Good Diapers

This brand new baby product is basically the moto for my life right now. It’s all good!

That iPad assignment not working? It’s all good. Do it on paper, take a picture, and send it in! Is the family getting antsy from sitting at the same dinner table every night? It’s all good…order pizza and head outside for a picnic in the backyard! If something isn’t working, break the mold — especially now — and do what works for you and your family.

All Good Diapers is all about breaking the mold and keeping things simple — they do their job and they get back to the basics of what you want in a diaper (and take out all the parts you don’t). From their simple black and white designs to the material they put into their product.

All Good Diapers are free of fragrance, elemental chlorine bleaching, parabens & latex. They’re also hypoallergenic and breathable to ensure your baby’s skin is treated right from the start.

They’re cushy & soft, but also extremely durable — preventing leaks even with the most active little boys or girls.

But the best part is…they’re not just good, they’re REALLY GOOD. With every box purchased, All Good has partnered with Feeding America to donate one day’s worth of diapers to little ones in need. To learn more about how All Good is helping others, visit Walmart.com/AllGood.

Be sure to shop All Good Diapers at your nearest Walmart to be a part of this donation.

Gerber

Just one week ago, Gerber announced it would donate over $687,000 to help children during this pandemic through Feeding America.

While there’s not a specific Gerber product that results in a direct donation, I love supporting organizations that make it their mission to help and support families in a time of crisis.

Gerber is working overtime to get “more high-quality formula, foods, and beverages to retailers and parents as soon as possible to meet increased demand.”

MY BOYS’ FAVORITE PRODUCTS :: If you’re shopping for your infant or toddler, be sure to check out Gerber’s Puffs Baby Cereal Snack Packs or Lil’ Crunchies Baked Corn Baby Snacks.

Walmart also sells a variety of Gerber brand rice cereal, purees, yogurt melts, and clothing!

Happy Family Organics

This baby brand has made a name for itself, not just for “putting babies before business”, but how they support families in need.

Happy Family Organics’ Happy to Help program provides food donations, small group workshops, education, and volunteers to ensure parents and families have access to important information regarding their children’s health.

They also provide a FREE chat platform that connects moms to Happy Mama Mentors to help ease the burden on new moms or moms hitting new parenting stages. These mentors are lactation specialists and registered dietitians that can be available chat and answer questions.

MY BOYS’ FAVORITE PRODUCTS :: Be sure to try the Happy Tot Super Foods Oat Bars, HappyKid yogurt pouches, and HappyBaby Greek Yogis.

Burt’s Bees

Burt’s Bees Baby isn’t only one of my favorite brands sold at Walmart, but also one of my favorite to gift new moms.

The Burt’s Bees Baby Nourishing Lotion isn’t just great for your new baby’s skin, but can also help keep mom’s hands smooth — especially when we find ourselves washing our hands more frequently.

While it isn’t a typical cause you’d think to support, Burt’s Bees Greater Good Foundation is on a mission to “Bring Back the Bees”. Through partnerships, they’ve planted over 1 billion wildflower seeds to date to help provide pollinators (including bees) with nourishing forage across the country. In addition, they’ve also provided over $2.4 million in grants and $330,000 in proceeds to nonprofit organizations.

These are just a few of the brands and businesses out to do good that can easily make their way into my family’s daily routine. What are some of the baby brands you purchase that are making a difference right now?

Krystal Hurst
Krystal is a Dallas-native who began her career as a fourth grade teacher in Richardson RISD, but quickly changed paths to became a stay-at-home mom in 2011. Through a happy coincidence, she stumbled upon (what was then known as) Dallas Moms Blog in 2012 and found a community she’d been looking for since coming a mom. Shortly after joining the team, she gratefully accepted the “baton” passed to her as new owner of the site, and took off with it running full speed! Krystal not only helped to grow Dallas Moms into a large parenting resource, but also launched Collin County Moms in 2016; providing those in the north Dallas suburbs their community resource platform. While building a community, uniting the moms, and growing a business around this passion was a dream come true, after almost 10 years, Krystal officially stepped down as owner, and is now focusing on raising her 4 boys with her husband, Tim, and rediscovering old hobbies.
